Our History: From the Prayer Mountain to Community Impact
The story of Kisima Bethsaida Ministries is a profound testament to God’s faithfulness, birth in a season of global uncertainty. Officially founded on **April 4, 2021**, during the critical post-pandemic era, the ministry arose from a precise divine revelation given to its visionary leader, **Reverend Pastor Franck Mubira** (affectionately known in Kampala as Justin Mutumbi).
Guided by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Franck was given a clear mandate: to bring supernatural healing, spiritual comfort, and total restoration to bruised souls, refugees, and families in Kampala burdened by life’s heavy trials and stress.
The ministry's very first gatherings took place in the open air, atop the windy heights of the Ndeje Mountains. It was in this sacred atmosphere of prayer and total consecration that the foundational nucleus of the church was forged, deeply sustained by the unwavering faith and prayers of the Pastor's wife, Maman Zawadi Mbusu.
From those initial mountain cries, the Lord began to open the windows of heaven. Through a journey of relentless faith, supernatural breakthroughs, and rapid growth, the community transitioned into a structured sanctuary, establishing itself as a major center for spiritual revival in the Makindye division of Kampala. Today, Kisima Bethsaida is a gathering hub for world-renowned international ministers, a hospital for the broken, and a school for tomorrow's leaders.

Pastor Franck Mubira
A Youth Consecrated to Service
Pastor Franck Mubira’s life has been an uninterrupted altar of service to the King. Born and raised in a fervent Christian household, he manifested a deep, precocious love for God’s house, leading the Christian Youth Ministry in Goma for six consecutive years starting from his early youth.
A multi-talented musician, he served as a worship leader, guitarist, and anointed drummer. His zeal was so consuming that he regularly traveled from village to village to strengthen local churches. Historically, during long and exhausting journeys on foot, his ministry companions would insist on carrying him on a Tipoy (a traditional porter's chair) to ensure that their talented, young drummer would arrive safely and with full strength to lead the congregation into the glorious presence of God.
Spiritual Mentorship and Pastoral Ordination
In 2009, Pastor Franck officially entered evangelistic ministry. His pastoral call was refined under the rigorous mentorship of Bishop Didier Punzu in Goma, who trained him intensively in practical theology, ecclesiastical leadership, and shepherding God's flock. Responding to prophetic words concerning a cross-border assignment, Pastor Franck obediently moved to Kampala, Uganda, in 2017.
He spent years collaborating with local ministries—including two years with Pastor James at Amen Christ Embassy and a year with Pastor Mushunganya—mastering cross-cultural leadership before officially pioneering the church. On July 20, 2022, during a historic Grand Opening, Bishop Didier Punzu traveled from Goma to officially ordain him, launching a fresh era of apostolic and pastoral authority in Kampala, witnessed by key local leaders including Mr. Moses, the administrative Chairperson of Makindye.

The Vision
To be a spiritual fountain (Kisima) and a pool of healing (Bethsaida) where the broken-hearted find refuge, the weary find rest, and every believer is equipped to reign in Christ Jesus.
The Mission
- Preach the uncompromised Gospel of Jesus Christ with power, signs, and wonders.
- Restore emotional, spiritual, and social wholeness to refugees, orphans, widows, and vulnerable families.
- Equip the saints through deep scriptural teaching, intense prayer, and leadership mentorship.
- Expand God's kingdom by planting prayer cells and geographical extensions.
Faith in Action: Future Projects & Social Impact
Kisima Bethsaida Ministries goes beyond the church walls to mirror the tangible love of Christ. We currently provide regular material, educational, and spiritual assistance to widows, orphans, and displaced families in our community.
Looking ahead, our faith is actively stretching toward massive kingdom projects, including:
- Educational Excellence: The creation of a fully functional Christian School to provide quality education and biblical values to the next generation.
- Social Shelters: The establishment of an Orphanage and a specialized Refugee Care Center to shelter and restore vulnerable children and families.
- Kingdom Expansion: The multiplication of home cells and regional church plants to spread the message of hope across East Africa.
