The second part of our ministry’s name is Bethsaida (Bethesda), referencing the biblical pool of mercy where multitudes of the blind, lame, and paralyzed waited for the moving of the water. In John chapter 5, we read about a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years.
Thirty-eight years of watching others succeed while he failed. Thirty-eight years of feeling forgotten, isolated, and utterly helpless.
Many people walking the streets of Kampala today feel exactly like this man. You might not be physically paralyzed, but you might be financially paralyzed, emotionally broken, or trapped in a generational pattern of failure.
When Jesus approached the man, He asked a seemingly strange question: "Do you want to be made well?" Why would He ask that? Because after decades of suffering, the man had lost his expectation. He had replaced his faith with an excuse: "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool." He was looking at human systems, waiting for human favors.
Jesus completely bypassed the water and the human helpers. With a single word of apostolic authority, He commanded the man to rise. Instantly, nearly four decades of sickness evaporated.
At Kisima Bethsaida Ministries, we believe that the same Jesus is in our midst. We have seen families restored, terminal diseases healed, and refugees who arrived with absolutely nothing find supernatural stability and joy.
Your season of waiting is over. It is time to rise and walk into your destiny!
