In the Christian walk, there are moments that define our destiny, and they almost always happen in the secret place of prayer. When Kisima Bethsaida Ministries was born on April 4, 2021, our very first steps didn’t take place inside a modern building with a sound system. We gathered in the open air, high up on the windy heights of the Ndeje Mountains. 

Why did God lead us to the mountain? Because the mountain represents a place of separation, consecration, and uninterrupted intimacy with the Creator.

Throughout scripture, the mountains have always been God's chosen boardroom for shifting seasons. It was on Mount Sinai that Moses received the Law. It was on Mount Carmel that Elijah called down divine fire. Many believers today struggle with a powerless faith because their prayer life is confined to casual, rushed routines. To experience supernatural breakthroughs, we must learn to "climb." Climbing requires effort; it requires leaving behind the noise of the valley—the stress, the digital distractions, and the heavy anxieties of life.

When we gathered on Ndeje Mountain, pushed forward by the intercession of Maman Zawadi Mbusu and Pastor Franck, we cried out for the broken souls of Kampala. God answered with a spiritual fire that still burns in our sanctuary today.

Three Keys to Build Your Personal Mountain Encounter:

1. Set Apart a Sacred Time: Intimacy cannot be rushed. Give God your first and best hours, not your leftover energy.
2. Silence the Noise: Shut the door to the world (Matthew 6:6). Turn off notifications and let your soul quiet down before His majesty.
3. Pray the Word, Not Just Your Problems: Fill your mouth with scriptures. The mountain is not just a place to complain; it is a place to decree the promises of God.
